In 2004 the European Ryder Cup Team comphrehensively defeated the Americans at Oakland Hills, Michigan. The members of the team were:
Luke Donald, Thomas Levet, Ian Poulter, Paul McGinley, Darren Clarke, David Howell, Lee Westwood, Padraig Harrington, Colin Montgomerie, Sergio Garcia, Paul Casey, Bernhard Langer, Miguel Jimenez.
