Ruby Walsh had the seven-year-old on the bridle throughout as he stayed in mid division behind the front-running War Of Attrition and Fair Along.

Time For Rupert took it up turning into the straight, but Walsh moved ominously through.

The Festival’s winning-most jockey could afford to look around to check for any dangers and despite a less than fluent jump at the last, Big Buck’s eased to three-and-a-quarter-length victory over the game Time For Rupert.
