"Cadland" (1828)

Owned by the Duke of Rutland, trained by Dixon Boyce and ridden by J Robinson, Cadland was pronounced the winner of the 1828 Epsom Derby after the original race had ended in a dead-heat and Cadland prevailed in a run-off against The Colonel by half a length.
