Features one of the greatest of all courses, Ascot, prior to its major redevelopment in 2005/6. The painting depicts The King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes at Ascot in July 1999, in which the grey, Daylami, ridden by Frankie Dettori, Newdawi, ridden by Gary Stevens and Fruits of Love, ridden by Olivier Peslier, battle for supremacy in an epic race eventually won by Daylami
